Jim, Darling.

"The Alan Brady Show" has a new sponsor and it turns out the man who owns the company knew Laura a long time ago. It seems that Jim Darling (Robert Vaughn) and Laura dated and Rob is clearly insecure about this. Jim is rich and handsome...and Rob wishes the man was poor and hideous! When Jim invites the staff to his place for a party, he insists Rob bring Laura...and Rob looks for a reason not to attend. But his plan backfires and Jim invites himself and the rest of the guests to the Petrie household. And, during the dinner party, Rob acts like an idiot.

This is a fair episode. It's funny at times, though seeing Rob being jealous wasn't among my favorite plot elements. Worth seeing but not an especially strong episode.

I always thought Robert Vaughn was strange-looking----but he looked good in a suit, so it was a good strange. It's one of the reasons The Man from U.N.C.L.E. was an enormous hit. So here he is, just before that. Rob's comments during the party were great.
