Disney was dear to my heart as a child. It is still dear to my heart now. 'Ducktales' is a fine example as to why, when it comes to favourite animated shows it is definitely up there and always has been. There are numerous animated shows, films and series that were great shows through younger eyes but are even better now due to more being gotten out of them, 'Ducktales' is one of them and one of the stronger examples.

To me, 'Ducktales' didn't have my definition of a bad episode (though there are disappointments), even weaker ones were better than weaker ones of most shows, though the earlier episodes were better when there was less too heavy focus on weaker characters. "The Good Muddahs" is in no way a 'Ducktales' classic, but still found it very entertaining and one of the better-faring episodes of the season and of the latter episodes.

It's not perfect. Webby's behaviour at the end is rather stupid and Bubba serves very little point here.

Will agree that the family's initial attitude towards Webby being missing was strange and somewhat delayed.

However, the animation is very good. It is bright and colourful with lively fluid movement, smooth drawing and meticulous attention to detail in the backgrounds. Even better is the music, it is again dynamic and beautifully orchestrated, never jarring with the action and full of energy. The theme song is one of the best and most irresistibly catchy theme songs of any of Disney's shows and there are many out there. The story is compelling throughout, especially when with Webby and the Beagle Babes, with plenty of them that stops the episode from being dull.

Regarding the writing, much of "The Good Muddahs" is very funny and smart. The Beagle Babes' different versions of the 'Cinderella' story are priceless. The Beagle Babes are great characters, with the most memorable one being the Bette Davis-inspired Babydoll. Webby is the most interesting she's been in a long time, she is also endearing and really liked the very cool chemistry between her and the Beagle Babes and that she broke the kidnap victim stereotype. The voice acting is very good, especially from Russi Taylor.

Summarising, liked it very much though not a 'Ducktales' high point. 8/10

I liked the Beagle Babes but wish we had seen more of them. I thought the families first reaction to Webby being kidnapped was bit off and wondered By the family went all the way home before calling the police and waited so long for them to show up .Scrooge's reaction to not give up the ransom at first made it seem like he didn't care much to get her back as if it been one the boys i believe there would have been no second thoughts.Overall the episode was pretty good and one of the best Webby ones.We saw a little different side of her and saw her become a bit more bossy. And you could see she gained somewhat of an attitude from the beagle babes .
