Steve and the dummy
gregorycanfield18 August 2022
The interesting thing here is that the dummy really doesn't look like Steve. He is only dressed like Steve. I wouldn't say "rip-off," but there was definitely inspiration borrowed from the Twilight Zone. Two specific episodes: "The Dummy" and "It's a Good Life." A couple of scenes here are genuinely creepy. When Carl is manipulated by the dummy. Also, when Eddie comes at Steve with blender. "This is really gonna hurt!" My favorite scene is when the dummy has Laura in the cupboard, and she is "beside herself." I love the way she pleaded with Steve to close the door, because she didn't want anyone to see her that way. As silly as the situation might have been, I could hear the "love" in her voice, and I could feel that Steve-Laura connection. Overall, the episode is very imaginative and well done.

Warning: Spoilers
So this is the Halloween episode.

In this episode we see Steve's doll that looks just like him get all evil and terrorize their whole family.

I didn't really like this episode.

I feel it is way too scary and not even really funny. The only time I really laughed was when Steve and his doll were fighting. Also I liked the Halloween costumes of Richie and 3J. Other than that it was more cringe worthy.

The voice of the doll I think is that what made it especially terrifying.
