Flipper's girlfriend is injured. Porter managed to get the arrow out of her, but she's still in grave danger. The Ricks' pray that God will see fit to save her from death, and save Flipper from a broken heart.
Bud has some growing up in this episode to do as well. He was pretty cruel to Flipper and ignored Flipper's please for help. It took Flipper having to ring the distress bell (this is the second episode we see or hear the bell being used) to get Porter's attention. Porter knew something was wrong even when Bud wouldn't acknowledge it. I think that happened at the end of the first episode maybe?
Anyways, Bud has to confess his sin to Flipper and ask for forgiveness. Then Bud admits that he really does hope Flipper's girlfriend recovers.
I think my favorite part of this episode, though, is Flipper's revenge on the persons responsible for his girlfriend's injuries.
