Father Larson
JordanThomasHall11 September 2018
San Tanco's priest, Father Carver has passed away and his replacement is Father Walter Larson (Bob Cummings, "Dial M for Murder", "The Bob Cummings Show"), a research-minded assistant from a Pittsburgh seminary. Father Larson and Reverend Mother Placido, whose first name is revealed to be Lydia, are old friends. He confides in her that he doesn't feel competent to carry out the demands of the position. Sister Bertrille convinces a TV writer friend of Carlos' named Danny Simms (Gary Crosby, "Adam-12") into writing an important speech for Father Larson. She asks Carlos to bring in people for a controlled audience to laugh at his jokes, but they instead laugh at the serious parts. Sister Bertrille tries to cheer up the disheartened priest.

While most episodes of "The Flying Nun" lack proper execution, this offering is especially lacking and weird.
