A question of ownership

Warning: Spoilers
A school project for Freddy brings a bit of genuine jeopardy to the Boult's lives.

It's pretty clear fairly quickly that the house was given to Miss Pocock's mother (Miss Pocock being the old lady who left it to Harriet) due to some extra marital shenanigans, but the real question is whether it can be proven that Miss Pocock had the right to leave it to someone in her turn. Or does the house belong to the Finch family? That's right, the poverty-stricken ones who could really do with the rent from a place like the Boult's.

Meanwhile, a very unfamiliar Hilly is really settling in to the whole estate management thing. It's her birthday too (& we are not told how old she's supposed to be which is very frustrating. You can't work it out from her serving wine at dinner either, as in what was certainly par for the course at the time, everyone including Freddy & Tom seems to be drinking wine with their dinner).

The angst over the handsome teacher was a bit overdone. It was obvious he was going to be happily married, but as soon as Harriet walked into his home she should have realised given the plain sight presence of a high chair & kids' clothes drying. Still, he was a fun addition.

Entertaining as ever.
