Another character has joined the show. Commet, the family Golden retriever, will now be a regular cast member. When a dog wonders into the Tanner's backyard, the girls and Joey beg Danny to let him keep her. Jessie isn't thrilled with the idea since she likes his bed. Then to make matter's worse, they discover the dog is in labor!

And that's the story line. A sub-plot is Jessie and the driving test. He let his license expire and had to re-take the test. Unfortunately, Jesse didn't pass.

Again, Becky is missing from this episode. I'm thinking there was possibly reasons why she wasn't in several episodes, though the reason hasn't been revealed by any of the IMDb editors and reviewers that I can see. I'm hoping she'll be back again soon!

Full House has all the makings of a classic sitcom. The only thing missing (maybe not "missing" but a definite bonus piece) is a pet. A family this huge doesn't need a pet, but it certainly makes sense to have one in a family of this much cuteness and happiness.

A golden retriever wanders into the Tanner's backyard. The girls fall in love with him right away and Joey is on the verge of giving in since he's always wanted a dog. The dog's name is Minnie and she came all the way from Ohio. A dog trekking from Ohio to San Fransisco would take months. Since Ohio is so far, their hopes of keeping Minnie grows. Later on in the day, Minnie gives birth to a litter of puppies. Minnie's owner eventually does come to get Minnie and her puppies, then blows the Tanners to keep one.

This episode focuses on the miracle of life. Seeing Minnie give birth to the puppies isn't graphic, but beautiful. Danny and Jesse are the only ones against the dog, but seeing the birth changes their mind.

So this episode does not have a whole lot going for it, but the little bit it has absolutely wonderful.

The remainder of the show features their dog. They give it the name Comet later on.
