Danny
mitchrmp3 December 2013
In this episode, the house is a mess. Danny's a little upset, but not so much that he puts a lot of effort into cleaning it. Worse, his mother is coming today and nobody told him. Stephanie and Joey knew all about it. When they go to clean, they realize they are out of cleaning supplies. When they get back to the market, they sit down to Yogi and Mom shows up - five hours earlier than expected!

But she doesn't jump in and clean the house like the guys expected she would. Instead, she called the mothers and they made some threats that got the boys to moving at cleaning up their messes.

The entire episode was a comic relief but Jesse's "amphibian" turtle was a big comic relief.

Danny's character hasn't been established yet. I like it a few episodes from now where Danny becomes a clean freak. It develops character in him and something unique. This episode got a lower rating because it was just not Danny's true character.

Plot Hole!
kerstinmkelly9 June 2019
As anyone who has watched more than a few episodes of Full House knows that Danny has an extreme habit of cleaning. This episode does not follow that, and makes it very confusing. Overall the idea is good, but how could such a big mistake be made?

The One Where Grandma Returns...

Warning: Spoilers
I really like this episode. It's really funny. I enjoy it a lot.

In this episode, Grandma is coming back to town. And the house is a mess. And they've only got seven hours to clean it. They were off to a good start, but then Grandma walks in through the front door. She didn't even knock. Which I thought was very rude. I mean, I know it's your family, but be polite, jeez. When she sees that the house is a mess, she gets so upset. Danny says that it's okay now that she's there and that she can clean it. Hours later, the girls, Jesse and Joey return home and the house is still a mess. Grandma refused to clean it. And even worse, Joey and Jesse's mothers are there as well. The boys make a bet that they can clean the house by the time they get back or else the mothers can move in. When the mothers do get back, the house is still a mess because they were all looking for their new pet turtle, Bubba. Danny negotiates and gets more time. When the mothers come back the house is spotless. And everything is fine until the maid who had cleaned some of the house, walks in. But the boys convince the mothers that they will be fine on their own.

Overall, I give this episode an 8 out of 10.

Hilarious Episode!
Movie-ManDan2 March 2016
In my opinion, this is one of the best episodes of the first season. It is hilarious, memorable, all-around great!

This episode has two plots. It starts off with Jesse bringing home a turtle which stopped his bike from potentially being in an accident. He repeatedly says "I love this amphibian" which is funny because turtles are reptiles. Jesse has more ignorant phrases throughout the show. The main plot deals with Danny's mother coming back to check up on Danny, as she doesn't think he can to an adequate job of mending house without his wife. She gets Jesse and Joey's mother to come, and the three offer to move in, unless they can show their responsibility.

Maybe I love this episode because of how hard the guys try to clean the house and save the turtle and whatnot. Very fun, all the way.

Your mom's told our mom's?

Warning: Spoilers
Danny isn't apprised that his Mother is coming over to visit. Joey and the girls forget to relay the message to him. Danny worries that his Mother will feel he & the guys aren't fit to raise his three young daughters. The place being an absolute mess doesn't help. Danny promises they can clean the place, and if they can't, his Mom can move in. This episode was WAY too corny. Being corny is what made Full House a lot of fun, but this one overdoes it in a big way. They tried to be way too cutesy here with things. I got annoyed quickly at Joey's love for Yogi Bear, and Bob Saget is highly annoying in this one as well with his OTT antics. The "Nobody asked me" was funny in the first couple episodes, but it becomes redundant in this one. Even Jesse's charm can't be found in this one. He's stuck fawning over a turtle in this episode. There are a couple of laughs. Joey impersonating a vacuum with his Mom dragging him along made me chuckle and it has a clever twist ending. This tries to preach about responsibility, but it failed miserably at it. It lacks laugh that a Full House episode usually provides, and it didn't entertain me at all. Give this one a miss, unless you're a huge Full House fan
