Uneven episode directed by Don Adams has Smart and 99 parachuting into the middle of the Sahara desert in search of a KAOS missile that is aimed at New York City. KAOS threatens to blow up New York unless all nations agree to disarm, making them the only power in the world with the bomb.
Adams wasn't given the funniest of the series scripts to direct. The funniest parts probably come with the KAOS agents ("Put your knife back in your scabbard!" barks the leader. His henchman-- obeys and then says "I haven't a scabbard." "You do now." says the leader.) They come off funny. A mirage bit is flat as is much of the stuff being stranded in the desert. Adams also relies a little too much on his stunt double to do the fight scene for him. The double is obvious.
All in all, not the most memorable of "Get Smart" episodes.
