Teenage angst and max
littleminx-110432 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Max Medina reappears at Chilton to lend gender support to the only other male at the PTA and Lorelai is all doe eyed again, but says in conversation to sookie that she's technically still seeing Alex (which is weird cos that character just eventually disappears into oblivion - why wouldn't you give the amazing Billy Burke more screen time on the show!).

Adam Brody was on form here and such a good addition to the cast. Ditto for Lane. The call to Mrs Kim was a classic Gilmore Girls moment.

Sookie is supposedly a few months pregnant here but looks tiny.

Despite how things ended I'm always team Jess!

We all love a good party...
m-478265 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Season 3 feels a lot like a soap opera. And this episode does things like any WB series episode did. Teenagers decide to defy authority, and party all night, until people start fighting. There it was Dean and Jess, over doe eyed Rory, obviously. I'm glad, because I never liked her relationship with Jess. It was so clear he was her rebound, and in this episode she finally saw for herself, what it feels like to date a bum. Dean jumping to her rescue, was so chivalrous (too bad for his new girlfriend, though...). And him fighting with Jess, was a long overdue moment of the season. Lane's band playing, was cut due to copyright issues (I guess). But they weren't very good anyway. Her finally standing up to her mother, was another long overdue moment, for the series as a whole. I didn't like Lorelai's storyline, and I'm not sure why they brought back Max, only to add salt in their wounds. But I know Luke's relationship is going nowhere. The opening sequence was good, and probably my favorite part of the episode.

Jess is a jerk
ISmellSnow11 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is the episode that everyone remembers as Jess being the ultimate jerk. He can't take Rory to prom and finds out he's having problems at school. He reluctantly attends a party with Rory and ends up getting in a fist fight with Dean. The director of this episode deserves an award cause it's pretty amazing. Lorelai gets "closure" with Max. Lane makes a drunken call to her mom.
