Zack and Mikey's friendship may be in jeopardy

Warning: Spoilers
Miss Bliss manages to get Mr. Belding to change his stance on dances, on the condition that Miss Bliss is a chaperone. Mikey has eyes for a girl named Shauna. The problem is that Mikey doesn't know Zack likes her too, and if that's not bad enough. Zack doesn't know Mikey likes Shauna. Zack asks Shauna to the dance, without knowing that Mikey has eyes for her. Mikey feels betrayed, and gives Zack a caveat about taking Shauna to the dance. Mr. Belding is paranoid about violence ensuing. I liked this episode for the most part. It's a realistic depict of high school life when it comes to women. I remember when I was in High School, the pressure that ensued when it came to asking a girl. The fear of rejection was always in the back of my mind. I really felt sympathetic for Mikey's plight in this episode. Max Battimo (Mikey) did a terrific job with teenage angst, and was completely believable. Mark-Paul Gosselaar has always been a bit of a dick as Zack, but a dick with a heart. I think we've all had a better looking friend who's stolen a girl from us. I did feel things were resolved too quickly, and that Mikey forgave Zack too easily, but that's to be expected when you only have over 20 minutes to work with in an episode. Shauna does the whole "I don't want you fighting over me" BS. I've come to learn that women love it when men fight over them. Is that arrogant on my part to think that? Perhaps, so, but it sure seems like it some times. Milo is actually funny, and does a great Ray Charles impression. This is a good episode, with a good message about how women aren't worth something more important, and that's friendship. It's a well done episode about high school life.

Shauna: That was great. You're a really good dancer, Zack. Zack: Hey, I can't take all the credit. I was just following your legs, I mean your lead.

Screech: Get ready to shake your keisters, because I'm the Screechster!

(Nikki Arguing over the dance, not realizing Miss Bliss said yes) Zack: Nikki, you're the only person I know who can't take yes for an answer

Save the Last Dance for Me (#1.7)

Warning: Spoilers
The class gets Miss Bliss convince Mr Belding to let them have their 8th grade dance. Lisa is having about 10 guys asking her to come for the dance and agrees to them all. Screech is a DJ. And Zack agrees to go to the dance with a girl that Mikey likes. This results in them having a fight but they make up at the end.

This episode brought the fun and excitement of school dances at that early age when it is just starting. The scene where Zack teaches Mikey how to act with girls is pretty funny, especially with Mikey practicing it. And as in every episode we get the nice message that friendship is not worth throwing away. They should have developed the story about Lisa more.
