This is a pretty good mystery yarn in the line of an Edgard Allan Poe topic. The plot has already been told, so I won't repeat it, but I assure you it's worthwhile. You have thriller elements here, but not horror at all. Only the ending is weak. This story was already made in 1961, included in a THRILLER series episode called TRIO FOR TERROR, in which you had three litte tales.
