An American actor is shot down by the Germans
kfo94943 September 2014
In this rather humorous episode, the German have shot down a plane that is occupied by American actor, Major Buckles (Alan Oppenheimer), and Klink starts preparations to have Buckles star in a German propaganda film at the prison camp.

At first the film is to be featuring how the prisoners are so well treated by their German Commandant wish of course will star Klink as himself. But soon it will change to where Hogan is the director of the film with the purpose of blowing up a strategic bridge located not far from camp. And during the production we can expect some funny situations as the filming of the movie begins.

At first I was not sure that this episode was going to be of any interest. But the way that Oppenheimer played his part as the actor that hams up any scene, the story started to grow. Even though the ending is so far-fetched that no one will believe, it was still a nice get-a-way from the worries of the day. Good watch.

Ridiculous Episode

If there was a more ludicrous episode in the series, I'm at a loss which one it would be. Although the Major Buckles (Alan Oppenheimer) character was very funny, the way it ends is just too far fetched for me.
