At the beginning of this entertaining episode, we have Klink ready to take a holiday trip to a mountain ski lodge for some relaxation. But little does he know that the Gestapo wants to take over the Stalag so that they can be in charge of prisoner's of war. Hogan has to come up with a plan that makes the Gestapo appear unable to operate the camp.
So during Klink's absents, there is a massive escape. The Gestapo has to call in an SS division which will help the Allies war effort by penning down an entire unit while the Allied armies regroup. Klink's leave is canceled as he returns to the camp to find the escape prisoner.
But do not let the summary fool you. this episode is jammed pack with humor from start to finish. One of the best scenes in the entire series happens when Klink, at the ski lodge, has been bragging about his contribution to the war effort. Little does he know that General Burkhalter is sitting right behind him. That scene is is comedy gold as we learn that 'Killer Klink' is a nickname for our Stalag Colonel.
