Henry is horrified when he meets Matthew's new girlfriend, Christine. Christine is the quiet type, but put be described as alternative. Henry is appalled to discover that the pair are engaged, and further exasperated, when he discovers Christine's pregnant.
My favourite of the three episodes so far, lots of nice one liners, a funny story, and John Thaw really showing us why he was so well regarded.
Christine is an interesting one, fast forward now and styles have changed so much, if she wasn't covered in tattoos and piercings nowadays, she'd be classed as alternative. Fortunately tastes have moved on.
It's been a comedy of the generations so far, but this one felt like a comedy of the classes, with the moral, mature characters incensed by the free living ideals of the youngsters.
Nice performance from Jenna Russell, a talented actress.
7/10.
