"Jeannie and the Top Secret" marks the third anniversary of Major Nelson finding his genie in a bottle on a South Pacific beach, planning a nice evening together until a mysterious phone call from Dr. Bellows summons him to NASA. A top secret assignment as courier for a film to be transported to Washington, handcuffed to the case, requires him not to say a word to anyone about it, not even his jealous Jeannie, steaming over her master breaking his promise. She poses as a stewardess on the flight, believing the female passenger (Sabrina Scharf) in the next seat to be the 'Marion' that Dr. Bellows mentioned. The long awaited film uses familiar stock footage of early flight attempts, Sabrina Scharf best remembered as Miramanee on STAR TREK's "The Paradise Syndrome." Vinton Hayworth's first appearance on the show comes as General Watson, seen only in Washington, his Winfield Schaeffer replacing General Peterson at NASA before the fourth season's end.
