Another battle of the sexes this time over gossip. Ricky males a valid point about how harmful it can be but from that point on it's all out comedy.
Lucy acting out the gossip she's heard for Ethel because she promises she won't say a word! Ricky and Fred even join in the guessing !
The guys claiming men don't really gossip much then go about gossiping about the band out at the club! This leads to a contest women vs men . Whoever gossips first has to serve the winners breakfast in bed for a month. Days go by and no break . The guys seem worried and cook up some gossip about neighbor Grace Foster and the milkman! The talk in their sleep so the women hear it . Lucy and Ethel try not to talk but end up sharing all the details. Fred and Ricky speak for the cellar through the furnace as the conscience of the women.
Lucy " Ethel you have the loudest conscience I ever heard ! " Then Ricky speaks . Lucy " oh fine my conscience has an accent! " Lucy though conclude she and Ethel won the bet because the as she said about Fred and Ricky " if they weren't asleep they were awake !" Ethel " well that's a monumental conclusion."
Back and forth between the men and women lead to Lucy and Ethel giving the guys breakfast in bed as Fred joins Ricky. Just then the milkman burst in and needs help! Mr Foster is after him with a gun! Maybe the story is true and after Lucy calms the man down and he leaves the guys have to fix the women a whole new breakfast.
The big twist though is Lucy set this up with her neighbor and the milkman! She didn't even tell Ethel to get a real reaction to their bursting in. Well the guys tried to cheat first! One of the best endings of the series.
