You can't choose your family
bkoganbing4 December 2020
The spotlight in this episode is on Crystal Fox as LuAnn Corbin gets the unwelcome news that her brother Meshach Taylor is back in Sparta.

Taylor took a most divergent path from his sister. He's been in and out of trouble, even stealing from his family. But mother always welcomes him back.

Taylor also has an eye on a real good score on a bar because it doubles as discreet betting parlor carries a lot of money on the premises. But the best laid plans etc. Etc. and it doesn't quite work out.

Crystal Fox makes the most of an episode she carries and Meshach Taylor is great as the charming conman.

Luann's Mother is Toxic
cantstandpeople23 April 2021
This episode was infuriating to watch. Luann is the scapegoat and her brother is the favorite/golden child. How dare her so-called "mother" pretty much disown her just because she's a cop that sees her brother's deep flaws and crimes. Luann is weak-minded enough to not kick both of them out. The fact that she left HER OWN HOUSE because of two extremely toxic people... bruh. Yea, "you can't choose your family" (ignorant saying) according to the "family-orienter" that previously wrote a review of this episode, but you can surely choose whether or not they can be in your life. If you choose to keep toxic people in your life, you have no one to blame for your family problems, but yourself. No one has to keep a toxic mother and sibling in their life. I wouldn't, that's for sure. This was just an infuriating, annoying, and dumb episode to me.
