Raymond Burr Directs; A frame up of a friend
TopekaBob14 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Raymond Burr's directorial debut, and there's a few fun things he throws in there to show off his directing chops. Some of the transitions are fun. The story itself is classic Ironside, although I admit I didn't quite get the "trap" plan at the end. It sure looked like Ironside simply lied to the defendant in order to get him to bring the incriminating photos to the courthouse. Solid Ironside though.

Lots of fun actors appear and the Ironside/Star Trek connection continues unabated! William Windom plays the serious judge. He was in tons of shows, including Columbo, Night Gallery, Twilight Zone, Thriller, and Commodore Decker in Star Trek.

Kerwin Mathews has a small role as the DA, but you'd never know it was the guy who played Sinbad in the famous 7th Voyage of Sinbad that featured the great effects of Ray Harryhausen. I guess Mathews was taking whatever he could get.

Val Avery appears, who was a mainstay in Columbo.

And, finally, Ian Wolfe! Acted in movies and TV from 1934-1990. Was in Hitchcock movies and the great Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movies. Also, of course, in Perry Mason, Twilight Zone, and Star Trek!
