Classic Episode for the Syndicated Era
kgraovac8 November 2023
Cassie becomes "the other woman" when an angry wife confronts her in the restaurant; Nancy's on a mission when Howard discovers that someone is stealing food from the kitchen.

The reboot is really on a roll now as we have the fourth straight episode in a row that is excellent. Being a Cassie episode, it's no surprise this one's a winner.

Nancy Lane is wickedly delicious in a small-but-scenery-chewing role as the jealous wife. It's a big departure from the ditzy semi-regular roles she played in RHODA and ANGIE. Also, she's almost unrecognizable here as a blonde. Her standoff with Cassie is a highlight of the episode. Both actresses play it very intense. What's even better is the double twist that actually turns the whole story around and brings another layer to the Cassie character.

Jan has a funny line when she says, "The only single guys Cassie hasn't dated are dating each other". Sonny sings "Torn (Caught) Between Two Lovers" as the situation gets tense in the dining room.

The B-story is sweet with Dot bringing the bag lady inside for a meal. The corker is when Nancy says it will be coming out of Dot's paycheck.

It's ironic that Ted's wife is played by Devon Ericson since she appeared in Season 2's "The Wedding" as the bride who was jilted at the altar thanks to Cassie.

Joseph Hacker who plays Ted is recognizable to CHARLIE'S ANGELS fans - most notably as the tortured psychic who discovers Kris' real identity in "Haunted Angels".

A fantastic episode - one of the best of the syndicated era. Nancy Lane plays one of the most memorable guest characters and Ann Jillian gives her best performance of the season.
