Closing the "Sergei Zhukov, brother of Harm" arc
hindsonevansmike30 January 2023
One of those episodes where not a lot happens, and yet so much happens at the start of Season Eight. This pivotal 8th season - which would, later in its run, spawn "NCIS" as part of the investigation into -- makes you wonder, 20 years on, if you really know what happened, don't you???. Really??

Bud begins to mobilise with his prosthesis. Excellent CGI for 2002 visuals.

To resume. We say farewell to Sergei (a character whom the actor Jade Carter had imbued with as much human interest as possible based upon a pretty thin set of scripts from Day One). His character is clearly homesick.

Harm clearly hasn't been doing a very good job of supporting his newly-discovered "little brother" to settle into life in the USA. Sergei still has "the hots" for Loren, whom he regards as "very Russian" with pride in his voice.

And Loren? She runs Sergei to the airport. Do they stop along the way for a fond farewell? Will we ever know? This is one of the episodes which spawned two decades of fanfiction supposition.

I fail to see why the writers keep making lt loren singer in a bad light, seeing she is david james elliot's real time wife ... perhaps she has misgivings about the alleged chemistry between mac and harm... anyway we all wish her the very worst ...
