I heard Paul Harvey tell a "Rest of the Story" about Benny and Sadie, who became Jack Benny and Mary Livingstone. He was a vaudeville star and she was a clerk at the May Company when they met. When they married, she had a hard time believing he would be faithful to her, but he convinced her and indeed remained with her for the rest of her life. She was a major element of his success, and as Mr. Harvey pointed out, they made America laugh for decades. And so it is wonderful to see them in this episode, acting out their parts; and in the epilogue, where he slightly nervously introduces her as his wife, and Joan as their daughter. I wonder if anybody didn't know that by this time? Mary was only in one of his movies, and very few TV episodes, which makes this show even more valuable. He is clearly very much in love with her.
