I think this is one of the funnier episodes. It is from Season 8, episode #8.
Doug and Carrie want Deacon & Kelly to move next door to them. Deacon makes excuses and finally tells them the house has a problem water heater. Later on, Deacon tells Doug that Carrie is really the reason they don't want to move next door. And Kelly tells Carrie the opposite - that Doug is the reason. So secretly, Doug and Carrie are blaming each other for their friends not moving in.
There is a funny episode at the dinner table where Doug and Carrie are acting and talking sweet to each other. But we can hear their thoughts, and they are silently insulting each other. Its pretty funny, and as anyone knows who's been married, it's pretty realistic which makes it even funnier.
My favorite part of this episode though, is when Doug and Carrie are awakened one morning by the noise of the new neighbors moving in. Apparently, they have a lot of children. Doug goes next door to ask them to hold it down since they are trying to sleep. The kids start steering their remote control cars directly under Doug's feet, which annoys him. Then there is a remote control airplane that starts buzzing by his head. Next thing you know, Doug has scaled up the side of a street light, waiting for the plane to buzz by. When it does, he slaps it out of the air and beats his chest - like King Kong. With his girth, it is a believable, and hilarious, impression.
You should definitely try to catch this episode!
