Hoff once again the MVP
Fluke_Skywalker30 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Plot; K.I.T.T. is dumped into a pool of toxic waste while attempting to stop the site's crooked owner.

There are a number of things that a sentient supped-up wonder car would seem to be ideal for. Stopping giant semi trucks or squaring off against other sentient supped-up wonder cars for instance. But battling pudgy polluters really isn't one of them. Nevertheless that's the villain here, but the real obstacle is K.I.T.T. overcoming performance anxiety. No, not that kind of performance anxiety (sinners). After the toxic waste nearly destroys him, K.I.T.T. has to be rebuilt. Turns out it's not only his microchips and diodes that need to be repaired, but his confidence as well. Not earth shattering stuff, but works better than it should thanks in no small part (again) to David Hasselhoff's complete and total conviction. The 'Hoff ain't winning any awards for his acting, but dude has the dedication of Daniel Day-Lewis.

This dog still has bite
Mr-Fusion7 April 2017
You can't beat the opening of 'Junkyard Dog' with its pastoral images of frolicking animals (just as the toxic waste tanker rolls in). Not only that, but the bad guy behind all the pollution is as cartoonish a villain as they come. I guess when you have an environmental message, you lean into it with everything.

But this is really about Michael and K.I.I.T., the latter of whom is nearly destroyed by that very sludge. It's not enough that he can be rebuilt (from the ground up), he also has to be able to hit the streets with honed instincts and full confidence. It's a nice story of how man and superpowered machine need each other. It's also a reminder of those things we take for granted; whether it's assuming Bonnie will be there to work miracles or how we always know K.I.T.T. as a gleaming black superhero.

Because seeing him down to bare metal pieces is startling.

From the ashes

A well developed storyline and some cool shots of Kitt. The acting was fairly decent also, even from supporting staff. Loved Michael and Bonnie's chemistry.
