Bad-Girl Valerie In Early Lost In Space-ish Episode
StuOz3 October 2006
Episode four in production order (but not screening order), this details survival on a strange land. The giants have put out a reward for "the little people" and the castaways find it hard to search for food in the jungle when the giants are out for them and Valerie is behaving badly.

Whenever I think of Valerie, this episode always springs to mind in two seconds.

At this stage in the series, the giants were mostly silent, but they do talk a bit in this hour, and you will remember the spoken words from the giant girl - "Catch the ball" - and - "They are so little" - spoken in a slow or strange style.

Steve, Fitz, Mark and Valerie all have memorable moments in this hour, the episode belongs to the regular cast more than the giants. It all has shades of the first 16 B&W survival episodes of Lost In Space.

Granted, The Bounty Hunter does not compare to the pilot - The Crash - but the quality production values and often silent giants, matched with a well meaning story of human survival, mean that the general tone of The Crash is still very present.
