For Laredo's final episode someone must have seen Sergeant York and that beginning when Alvin York and his two drinking buddies get into a tavern brawl in that tavern straddles the Kentucky/Tennessee line. In this story several characters including Captain Parmalee are named as outlaw Myron Healey's heirs in his will. They include the infamous nemesis of the Texas Rangers Linda Little Trees with her idiot husband.
Phil Carey is no dope as being in the same room alone with those outlaws might be curtains so Peter Brown and Robert Wolders are along for company. Before this is all resolved he will need them.
The house on the newly surveyed border is dubbed Mexus. Sounds to me like a great place for US/Mexican diplomatic meetings.
Laredo was one funny show, too bad it didn't last a few more seasons.
