Squiggy's Russian Twin
The previous episode only Laverne appeared and here it's just Laverne and Squiggy. Either the rest of the cast had enough at this point and jumped ship or they were all let go.

Here we have David Lander acting like Squiggy with a Russian accent and it's painful. While watching this train wreck of a season, I wonder why they went this bizarre route rather than the plethora of story possibilities that opened up with Shirley's absence.

They could've had Laverne getting a new roommate, starting a new relationship (instead of doing a ship full of sailors), move to another city and make new friends...instead of all these weird Twilight Zone episodes. And what's surprising is how boring Penny Marshall is without Cindy Williams. She seems so lost in all these 8th season episodes and I wonder if she was just finishing up the season to fulfill her contract because she doesn't seem to be into it anymore either.

There's still 10 more episodes to slog through too and the thought of sitting through them is excruciating----but i'm determined to see it through to the end. If I can survive season 9 of Roseanne, I should be able to get through this....but it's so hard. How much worse can it get?!

Usually I like Squiggy centric episodes, but this on the silly side.
