Fools For Gold
AaronCapenBanner28 November 2014
James "Grizzly" Adams(Dan Haggerty) meets two bumbling drifters named Ernie(played by Forest Tucker) and Wally(played by Larry Storch) whose attempts at digging for gold after buying a map for $10.00 goes quite wrong, threatening the land and water with poisoning. Adams, Mad Jack(Denver Pyle) and Nakoma(Don Shanks) get them to stop their harmful activity, but still persist in their foolhardy get rich quick schemes that continually backfire until the pair finally listen to some good advice and get real jobs... Good guest actors make this an entertaining episode, which gives an important lesson on the value of good old-fashioned hard work.

F-Troop reunion

Warning: Spoilers
Wow, re-watching all these Grizzly Adams shows I'd watched as a 12/13 yr. old boy back in 1977. The show is still good. The music is absolutely horrid. The opening & closing theme make you wanna jump off the mountain but the show itself stands up. Nature, animals, etc. Dan Haggerty is perfectly cast and Denver Pyle plays his usual part. The joy of this episode is the return of Forrest Tucker AND Larry Storch of F-Troop fame. Paired together again 10 years after F-Troop and the gang from Fort Courage went off the air. They play well together of course and you keep waiting for Storch to scrunch up his face at Tucker and whine CMON SARGE! The episode is pretty good, the two bumbling visitors looking for gold. I loved F-Troop as a kid, so this was a treat seeing these 2 together again.
