Who Is Saquadasi?
hogwrassler9 May 2021
The Ranger and Tonto investigate an ongoing swindle. Two scoundrels, Saunders and Applegate aka Denton are bilking the families of Texas Civil War veterans out of their money. The baddies know that the vet isn't home from the war yet and make up a story that he needs money to get out of some kind of trouble. The family member turns over their cash and the scammers then disappear. But our heroes get a big break when vet Tom Whitcombe returns home early and finds that his mom gave Saunders $2,000. The Ranger and Tonto devise a plan to catch them, but these crooks are pretty smart and they may have a plan of their own to catch the good guys. The Ranger may have to call on help from someone named "Saquadasi." If you want to know who Saquadasi is, you will have to watch the episode to find out. Familiar Lone Ranger guest actors Robert Rockwell and Richard Crane have good roles in this excellent episode.

Justice is alive and well.
PWNYCNY11 January 2014
This episode, made in 1950, is excellent and passes the test of time, meaning that it is still watchable today. The story is excellent. It frames the issues clearly and concisely and move forward at a brisk pace. The Lone Ranger and Tonto are wonderful characters. They do what they do not for personal gain but for more sublime reasons. Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels invest their characters with dignity. Thus, the show maintains dramatic value. This is why the show works, as exemplified by this episode. The Lone Ranger and Tonto work as a team and deal with some rough characters commit nasty crimes and put the entire community at risk. That the Lone Ranger and Tonto succeed in solving crimes and bringing justice may seem contrived, but it isn't. They are the epitome of justice and their presence makes one believe that there is still hope for humanity. Now, that may seem far-fetched but it isn't. Remember: that someone actually wrote scripts with this theme means that the idea is alive and not just wishful thinking.
