A jeweler induces two outlaws to help him steal a jeweled cross from a padre. They succeed but one of the outlaws gets accidentally shot. It's up to the Ranger and Tonto to track down the Cross of Santo Domingo and learn why an honest jeweler turned thief. This is an excellent episode. It features a fine early performance by Johnny Crawford, two years before he started playing. Mark McCain on "The Rifleman." Denver Pyle is the jeweler and Jeanne Bates is his wife. The Cross of Santo Domingo is a good watch for kids and adults alike.
