Warning: Spoilers
It's December 15, 1979. What do you think the 80s have in store for us? I guess we're not getting a Christmas episode this year. Doc's ex-wife (Juliet Prowse) is here, only to announce that actually they're still married. Red Buttons is back. This time he's not chasing Julie. He's a gambling addict. Sonny Bono and Ronee Blakley are here. They're a couple with money problems. (Cher reunion in the works?) Sonny announces that he's stolen the money for their tickets. Then they find an envelope containing a bunch of money. (It's Red Buttons' money actually. He wants it back.) Oh yes, there's a little boy who encounters his hated history teacher. The boy's mom is played by the returning Jessica Walter. Stupid kid asks Vicki for advice. Well, it's something for Vicki to do anyway. Will mom fall in love with the teacher? What do you think? I spotted an unususal name. This is the only series credit for writer Don Segall, but he wrote a segment for one of the post-series reunion movies. On Kafka's Love Boat Scale, this episode gets 2 1/2 * out of a possible 4 *.
