Thanks heavens... after a spate of pretty terrible episodes, we finally get another great episode - one that doesn't revolve around American sports or NO MA'AM.
Bud is frustrated that Amber isn't letting him into her knickers, and she is appalled when he is mean to Kelly; she wants a sensitive man. In order to change Amber's perception of him, Bud gets Kelly a commercial audition for Fryer Tuck's fast food restaurant, and teaches her how to do archery for the part. Kelly's rival is a woman named Beth who is skilled with a bow and arrow, but thanks to all of her practice, Kelly is able to match her shot for shot. To try and outdo Beth, Kelly says she will shoot an apple off Bud's head, but will she go through with such a dangerous trick?
This one is a mix of the absurd (Al dressing as an owl to scare off annoying birds), the fun (the archery match), the touching (Kelly and Bud being nice to each other, even if there is an ulterior motive for Bud), and the sexy (Amber in skimpy nightwear), with plenty of laughs to be had. The finalé is particularly funny: after Kelly is goaded into taking the potentially fatal shot, Bud reverts to a childlike state; when Amber sneaks in to the house to have sex with him, he's afraid of the 'yucky girl'.
