It's cold in Minneapolis... I figured I'd keep better

Mary and Rhoda plan a Mexican vacation then try the local Mexican restaurant to get into the vibe. When the hotel reservations fall through the restaurant owner Gustavo finds them an even better place to stay. Then he asks Mary to deliver a package for him.

It was like Mary was channelling Lucille Ball here - and it was hilarious (I love her nervous stalling act when Gustavo comes to retrieve the package, and she does a great 'juggling phone calls while Lou fumes' bit).

Frank Ramírez was very funny as Gustavo. I loved his delivery instructions for the package.

A Trip to Sunny Mexico
Hitchcoc2 February 2017
Mary finds out that if she doesn't take a vacation, she will lose it. She talks Rhoda into going with her, but the place they can afford is full and they have run out of options. They go to a Mexican restaurant and meet Gustavo, the handsome proprietor. When he hears they are desperate, he tells them of a place down the coast where they will put the girls up. They are grateful but Mary is suspicious. Especially when Gustavo gives them a package to take with them. He sounds very gangster-like when he describes where to take it. Of course, suspicion is the word of the day. Rhoda points out that drugs aren't usually smuggled into Mexico. This had a real "I Love Lucy" feel to it. Not one of the better episodes. Mary got a chance to wear some more clothes we've not seen before. The weird thing is she has such a small closet.

Looks like Murray 'flips the bird' about 5:14 into the show! Always loved MTM!!! But alas, I need more 'characters' so I'll just say if it wasn't for replay of the classic old stuff TV wouldn't be near as good!
