Family problems
Tweekums8 March 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This episode opens with Tubbs, in his undercover 'Cooper' persona, attending the wedding of a senior drug dealer and his younger bride; it doesn't end well as the groom is among several people gunned down. The dead man's son steps up to head the family and says he wants peace with those he believes to be responsible. It soon becomes apparent that the killing isn't over and as Tubbs works to uncover who is responsible he finds himself developing feeling for the young widow; feeling that are more than reciprocated. While Tubbs is working the case Crockett is away dealing with family problems; his son is having difficulty coming to terms with the fact that his mother and step-father are going to have a baby.

I had feared that this episode would become too soapy when Crockett was called away to deal with his son but those scenes were well handled and showed us another side of Crockett. That story was second to Tubb's case anyway and that provided lots of exciting shootouts, some nice twists and a guest appearance from Miguel Ferrer who was great as the son taking over his father's business. Elpidia Carrillo was also good as Tubb's love interest; the widow Maria. Overall this was a pretty solid, well balanced episode.
