BEAT STREET is the second episode of the revamped MIKE HAMMER TV series and it feels unusually sexist in its approach to the material. Keach teams up with guest actress Tracy Scoggins, of BABYLON 5 fame, and together they go after a company accused of polluting. A lot of the film's "charm" comes from endless scenes of Keach leching and chasing after Scoggins, and I thought these went over the edge, with innuendo worthy of the Bond films at times. It detracts from the workable storyline, and in the end this is merely an exercise in sexism.
