  Hub Grimes : Yes.

  Michael Anthony : My name is Anthony - Michael Anthony. I've been waiting to see you alone.

  Hub Grimes : What are you, a reporter?

  Michael Anthony : No no, Mr. Grimes. I represent an anonymous benefactor, who would like to give you a million dollars.

  Hub Grimes : I don't get it. Why would anyone give me a million dollars?

  Michael Anthony : [Opening his briefcase and taking out a check]  Please, Mr. Grimes, look at this. It's a cashier's check for $1,000,000. There are no strings attached. It's all yours. One million dollars, tax-free. You only have to agree that you will tell no one, except your wife in the event you should marry, what was the source of your money, or the precise amount. If you do, the amount that remains will be reclaimed.

  [Removes a document from his briefcase] 

  Michael Anthony : Now, please sign this agreement, and I will deposit the check to your account.

  Hub Grimes : Sign?

  Michael Anthony : [Embarrassed]  I hadn't thought of that. It must be signed.

  Hub Grimes : Well, you have a pencil?

  Michael Anthony : [Reaching into his suit]  Surely. Indelible.

  Hub Grimes : Oh, this is my girl's idea. Would you bring the paper and hold it right close to me on the briefcase?

  [Anthony complies] 

  Hub Grimes : That's fine. Now put the pencil in my mouth, please.

  [joking] 

  Hub Grimes : What some people won't do for a million dollars, huh.

  [Anthony obeys]

  [Hub signs the agreement with Anthony smiling]
