Morgan Fairchild's second appearance
kevinolzak20 October 2016
"Mork's First Christmas" marked the second appearance of Morgan Fairchild as Susan Taylor, Mindy's romantic rival for Mork. Roaming gangs of Christmas carolers are 'singing for trouble,' "Deck the Halls" leading Mork to believe that the family of Monty Hall is despised! This being his first encounter with the holiday season, Mindy tells him about Christ, a time for sharing and caring. Susan Taylor drops by to see her best friends (Mork: "we're your only friends!"), even in such a tacky neighborhood, not wishing to spend Christmas alone (her boyfriend will spend the holidays with his wife). Mork doesn't mind inviting Susan to spend Christmas with them, and wears down Mindy's resistance. Mork's 'main munchkin' Eugene (Jeffrey Jacquet) gives him the lowdown on what people do on Christmas: "decorate the tree, eat turkey, exchange gifts." Mork's self made gifts to everyone are quite unorthodox, and a petulant Susan walks out as Mindy, Fred and Cora wonder how to explain the situation to their uncomprehending alien. Understanding it's the thought that counts, Mork is able to give all three their most cherished memory of Christmas past, a heartwarming conclusion to the show's only seasonal episode.
