Dawn French is a quite amazingly versatile actress - her character in "Lady Luck" is really unlike any other she had played in this series so far. She is a hairdresser who crosses paths with a bank robber on the run from the police; sick of her abusive husband, she decides to help him by driving him all the way to Scotland, but things do not go as planned. Or do they? This is a rather serious crime tale with only a couple of jokes here and there (including a cruel but funny dig at Pavarotti). It all seems a little pointless, until you get to the end and realize the design behind the events. One thing I can observe about "Murder Most Horrid"'s second season so far is that it's harder-edged than the first. **1/2 out of 4.
