Warning: Spoilers
Well, here it is, the legendary last episode of "Mystery Science Theater 3000". This show was technically on the year for 11 years and boy am I glad to be a fan of it. Probably what makes this finale so great is that they show you what's going to happen at the very beginning. It's not just something that reveals itself at the very end, but something that's built up right from the start. I was pretty scared to see Pearl pulling that plug and then the screen going off like normal. Now I have in fact read the ending and knew how it would end, but it was still an emotional moment. I think nothing outside the theater had anything to do with the movie at all. Well, there was this scene where Mike showed off a suitcase kind of like the one shown in the movie, but that was it. The weird thing is that during the actual riffing, they don't even mention anything that goes outside. I guess that's for the best.

It's hard for me not to love the actual jokes of the episode. There are so many subtle references to previous ones. When someone says, "Are you ready?", Crow says, "For some football?", a reference to the THEN final episode "Laserblast". Other great jokes include, "She's a sex clown!" and "Who's the straight guy in this scene?". Another great one was, "But I have an appointment to be cremated!". The last riff in the entire series is Tom Servo saying, "This has been the official biopic of Larry Fine". It's just as good as any other episode of my favorite TV show of all time.

But wait! Joel and Mike are actually going to bring the show back after seventeen years! Yes, it will be on Netflix, which I'll have to pay for, but hopefully I'll be able to squeeze it into my budget. It is weird how they're doing this as they already have Rifftrax as a successor. The more, the merrier, I always say! I've been watching these episodes by movie chronological order so there are still many left that I'll be watching. Well, that will all change eventually. I am glad that I didn't see this episode when the show was on the Sci-Fi (Syfy is such a dumb name) Channel because I wanted to at least see most of the series before its last episode. See you all soon and hi, Mom! ****
