(257-word review) While mildly entertaining, this episode still did its job: providing entertainment, even if it's only a little. There was a different feel, not to mention the ending involved a foot chase; this instance was the first one (if I'm correct). Besides that, something worth mentioning is the nature of this particular episode.

McGee had his time in the spotlight and a more significant focus, which was different; I don't remember Caitlin getting the same treatment, at least not to this extent. From the look of it, the end goal was what happened at the end: he had his first moment similar to Caitlin's moment from the tenth episode of the first season.

We've also yet to see one of those moments with Tony, probably from back when he was a newbie, just like Caitlin was, and McGee is. It's likely only a matter of time. This show has many seasons. If we won't see it through a flashback at some point, which will be way down the line, the alternative is mentioning it to us.

Another thing worth mentioning is that I feel McGee is approaching some character growth to become more confident in himself and generally, and no longer being/being considered "the newbie" or called 'probie' by Tony. Elements of that aspect were skipped over with Caitlin, making me think McGee will be a new and improved version of himself in the third season.

Nothing too good and nothing too 'the opposite.' With a dash of entertainment. And that's what this was; a time passer.
