Infectious Cowardice
Hitchcoc28 February 2023
Stephanie is a great character. She lives on another planet. She has never had any responsibility in her whole life and has never had to be subservient to anyone. When Michael shows up at breakfast time, he says he is interviewing receptionists and she guilts him into hiring her. She is a total disaster. The cool thing about the show is that no one seems to have a backbone. She contributes nothing to the Inn or the Radio Station, but everyone is afraid to tell her that. Michael is a coward and so is Dick, so not only does she avoid unemployment, she continues at a higher salary. Anyway, Dick ends up on the short end of the stick all the way through. The writing is so clever here. I see that Dick Martin directed it.

Warning: Spoilers
Michael needs a receptionist at the TV station and Stephanie begs him for the job but things don't work out.

One of the funniest of Season 3. In the first day, Stephanie manages to let a a lunatic crash the news show and she insults the station manager. Michael is too scared to fire her so he promotes her to Dick's secretary making it Dick's responsibility to fire her! Harley also appears, looking to fill in as maid for the Stratford.
