One of my favourite episodes.

Warning: Spoilers
I love this episode because it just goes so far with the dept of Marissa, and how she feels, and how it relates to what girls feel. The decision to have Marissa overdose was a brave but very well done move that also moved you inside and had you wanting to watch the next episode.

Is in my Top 10 episodes of The O.C.

This episode is also one of my favourites because it starts the close relationship between Ryan and Marissa, which leads up to another of my favourite episodes, The Heights, which really starts the love relationship between the two. It's in this episode, however, which Ryan really shows how much he cares for Marissa and Marissa then finds out it was Ryan who saved her just in time, she decides to pay him back by falling in love with him and going out with him. It's a very well written introduction to a relationship, and I love re-watching it.

"Well, they have God on their side okay, Summer? I'm not going to beat Jesus."

Warning: Spoilers
The Newport kids plan an end-of-summer trip down to Tijuana, Mexico (aka "T.J."). Jimmy has plans of his own, which don't sit well with Marissa. Sandy gets a new job, which Kirsten can't understand. Summer, Seth, Ryan and Marissa find themselves in a strange place together. Jimmy takes it too far. Disaster strikes one of the O.C. kids.

This is the gang's first adventure as a gang. Sneaking out of the country for a weekend-long trip in Tijuana, Mexico.

This episode is very characteristic for the O.C. series. If you watch the rest of the episodes, you will understand what I mean. Marissa and Ryan get more close, while Seth and Summer start teasing each other.

Why is everyone kissing someone they're not with?

Warning: Spoilers
The crew pack up and head from the OC to Tijuana, Mexico. Is Tijuana really the hot spot for teen road trips? I really love the running theme of Summer saying "Ew." What a Queen!! Marissa catches Luke cheating in her at a club with Holly. Where will they have all their parties now that Holly and Luke got caught? Marissa, distraught by catching her cheating boyfriend, steals some of the pain killers intended for Summer's step mom, runs away from the group, and gets lost in Mexico. It doesn't look good for our girl next door.

Meanwhile the parents are stuck in the drama of Jimmy's fraud case and divorcing Julie. A storyline no one saw coming! Of course he makes a move on Kirstin. Why is everyone kissing someone they're not in a relationship with? Sandy is offered a new higher paying job. Not a great storyline.

As with any episode, the music is perfectly curated and placed in the episode.

The Escape (#1.7)

Warning: Spoilers
Now they are going to Tijuana for vacation at the end of summer. Jimmy is also getting divorced and doesn't tell it to Marissa, but then he calls her and tells that he is going to live as they get divorced. She is upset but then stays with the rest and sees Luke making out with another girl. So she takes pills to die.

A pretty good episode. It didn't make sense to me why Marissa was mad at Ryan but I really liked her acting when taking those pills and getting sick. Great scene.

Actually most did good acting, including Tate Donovan and Rachel Bilson. I am also curious how it will go now
