Probably the Funniest Episode of "The Odd Couple"
dizexpat18 February 2018
The episode is hilarious! Felix going to the bathroom and returning to an empty airplane is one of the most well-executed gags I've ever seen.

On top of which we get brief appearance by Teri Garr and Grady Sutton (a familiar face to W. C. Fields fans).

Felix's fear of flying make for a hilarious episode

Warning: Spoilers
Felix has a bad experience on a plane while going on a business trip and refuses to fly again.

There are non stop laughs as Felix returns home kissing the ground (and other objects in the room)so Oscar tries to help him get over his fear. There is another funny scene as Oscar sets up the living room as the inside of a plane to show him how easy it is, Murray acts as the pilot and Myrna a stewardess. Felix agrees to go on the plane but only if Oscar goes with him. More hilarity occurs when Felix panics on the plane and runs off with Oscar following him. They then decide to charter a plane with a sketchy airline. The pilot is an eccentric elderly man (played by Grady Sutton,a veteran character actor of WC Fields movies) and the other passengers are members of a parachute club who jump out of the plane while Felix is in the men's room! The pilot then decides to demonstrate his barn storming skills from the old days. The final scene shows Felix returning from his trip, greeted by Oscar and Murray, apparently Felix ruined this flight too as the other passengers and stewardess hit him with purses and rolled up magazines as they exit for the final laugh. One of the best episodes.
