Into the world of magic
bkoganbing10 November 2017
This next to last episode of Otherworld goes from science fiction into the world of magic. Viewers on YouTube have said it is Otherworld's version of Beauty And The Beast.

The Sterlings are traveling through a forest when Gretchen Corbett spots a disabled bird on the ground. Her veterinarian instincts takeover and she nurses the bird. That's enough for Alan Feinstein who is the commander of the forest, a brooding angry man beast who leads a lonely life despite all kinds of supernatural powers. He decides Corbett is whom he wants to share his world with and never mind that she has a husband and family.

To gain her back Sam Groom and the rest of the Sterlings make common cause with hunter John Astin who tells them how they can destroy him and gives them the silver bullet to do it. Astin also tells them of Feinstein traveling through to other dimensions including a mythical world called Earth. It's that journey that turned Feinstein into what he is now.

Feinstein is outstanding in the role of the man beast. And John Astin will be a revelation to those who think of him in comic parts like Gomez Adams.

Truly an outstanding episode. Why didn't this show find an audience when it was first shown on television?
