Atmospheric but Otherwise Average

Normally Pete's urban haunts is a long way from voodoo land. But here he goes to Haiti to investigate strange occurrences that are forcing small landowners to sell to a big one (Cotswold). Pretty good hook that has an old guy talking about voodoo curses as he dies. However, the screen soon warms up with Edie and Pete in one of their patented clinches.

The episode has a lot of voodoo sounds and visuals, but story-wise is not very distinguishable from more ordinary entries. Then too, the acting is sub-par from a no-name supporting cast. Except for the exotic atmospherics, there's nothing much else to recommend from this otherwise innovative series.
