Not so bad war movie
searchanddestroy-121 February 2015
Not exactly an ordinary war flick, but it surprised me that this feature remained only for TV audiences. It would have deserved wider releasing. It takes place in Normandy, during WW2 of course. The tale of a US soldiers platoon who have as mission to take a fort occupied by Nazi forces. The real unexpected thing here is that there is no gun fights, nearly no warfare elements, not the usual ones I mean. No explosions. So, that's probably the true reason why it was not shown in theatres, to audiences who would have expected more action. In resume, a war movie without any killings. Unusual. And with actors such as Barry Sullivan and Richard Jackael, we could have waited for something else.
