Addressing the marital problems with are inevitable with some cops....
planktonrules30 September 2017
The show begins with Detective Craig (Nancy Wilson--the Jazz singer!) bidding her partner (James Gregory) goodbye, as he's retiring from the force. Soon she has a new partner (Paul Burke)...a man who's having a lot of marital difficulties. Can they manage to remain professionals and be effective Juvenile officers?

While I have never seen statistics, I have to believe that police officers tend to have more marital problems than the average person. After all, the hours often stink and the dangers and stress associated with the job have to take a toll on the marriage. Fortunately, unlike most cop shows "Police Story" actually talked about this from time to time....and this one is unique because the marital discord pushed one detective towards his female partner...and to make it more interesting, she's black and he's white.

Overall, this is yet another well made and interesting episode of one of the best cop shows ever. Well worth seeing...and it's well worth buying seasons one and two which are now out on DVD.
