Dr. Mark Renart is obsessed with curing the insane through thought transference. His obsession leads to madness when he tries to make sane men insane with a mysterious ray emitting mechanism. When the subject of his first effort is shot and killed, in self defense, by Professor Ogden, Renart decides to make Ogden his experimental subject. Ogden gets the ray treatment, becomes zombie like and Renart orders him to kill Dr. Reynolds and Willy- Willy who are after the doctor. The most interesting character in this episode is Renart's assistant, Laura Sands, who initially tries to help him but becomes increasingly concerned by where his obsession is leading. She is quite a strong character and the ending is a bit of a surprise. The show's comic relief is provided by the Capuchin monkey, Babette. The show includes the expected stock footage of African wildlife. Even today, it holds up pretty well for a 25 minute adventure story.
