"I can't keep a hold on her."

Warning: Spoilers
Not too hard to tell where this story was going. Poor Charlie (Paul Le Mat), he didn't look like he had two nickels to rub together, but managed to come up with forty bucks to buy a jar filled with liquid and an unusual specimen inside. It looked like something from an old time 1940's horror movie featuring a mad scientist working on brain transplants. The carny operator who sold it probably had a good laugh over the transaction, which is what Charlie's philandering wife Thedy (Jennifer Dale) told him right before she threatened to let everyone know it was a fake something or other. Charlie had other ideas though, and found a neat replacement for the hogs' tripes and pig brains that formed most of the jar's morbid attraction. When the local townies gathered once again to admire Charlie's treasure, it was Thedy's lover (Earl Pastko) who realized that Charlie pulled off an unexpected switcheroo, even if the other gawkers had never seen Thedy with her bluebird tattoo.

What's in the Jar, Charlie?
Hitchcoc2 April 2015
A farmer who has a loose wife purchases a jar with some sort of specimen in it. For the first time in his life, people begin to pay attention to him. Up till now they laughed at him. His wife continues to embarrass him. She is cruel and amoral. The interesting thing is that all the different people see something different when they look in the jar. One night, the wife comes home from one of her escapades and threatens to tell his friends that the thing in the jar is fake; that he has been had. This, of course, is just to take any joy he has away from him. The conclusion is interesting. It's just that the whole concept could have been played out better. The story is a bit different and superior to the dramatic episode
