There is no escape young man...
ronnybee211212 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A childish, innocent, mute and seemingly harmless young man appears out of nowhere and a small group of lonely people basically 'play God' with this young man, teaching him and so forth the best they can. Somehow all these lonely people put a ridiculous amount of their own problems into this poor kid. The kid is eventually smart enough to run off from these nuts and meets a girl on the beach. They chat. She's a knockout! She wants to be friends with the boy, which he was probably ready for. Then she starts to talk crazier and crazier until she pretty much offers him the whole enchilada in one serving and scares him off,he runs away in fact! Next, another of his recent neighbors tries to treat the boy like a god,it just gets worse and worse. It starts to seem as if these creeps are about to kill this poor kid,and I think they eventually did. Sickos, all of them but the boy. A pretty rough ride with a weird vibe to boot !

Strange boy from nowhere
searchanddestroy-124 December 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Richard Boone plays here a private investigator who seeks about a stranger who seems to have disappeared in a vicinity, among a group of people who say that this stranger never existed, they argue they never saw him. I forgot to tell you that we actually saw those people in the beginning of the episode, on the road. A young man played by Robert Blake. But the people finally admit they saw the man.

At this moment, you have some kind of flash back scheme...

I would define this story as a sort of philosophical tale, where a strange young man teaches some people a way of thinking and appreciate life, in a different way. How to watch nature and the beauty of the surrounding, how to forget the ugliness of life. Look out for this scene where Blake's character explains that loneliness is not like being alone; you can feel alone surrounded by lots of people.

This scheme could have been quite a TWILIGHT ZONE, or OUTER LIMITS one, why not ?

I admit this is a offbeat story, but not uninteresting, far from that. So far, I guess this is one of the best of this excellent series.
